CORK HURLING STAR PATRICK HORGAN SHARES SWEET MOMENT WITH SON JACK AFTER VICTORY

Patrick Horgan was seen sharing a sweet moment with his son after Cork secured a victory over Dublin at the Senior All-Ireland Hurling semi-final today.

Cork marched into the All-Ireland final this evening with a 20 point victory over Dublin as they chase their first Liam MacCarthy Cup in 20 years.

The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 20th July at Croke Park in Dublin, and Tipperary and Kilkenny will battle it out on Sunday the 6th to see who will be taking on Cork on the big day.

As he celebrated the amazing moment, Cork's Patrick Horgan was snapped with his three-year-old son Jack, who looked equally as delighted about the win.

In the photo, Patrick can be seen about to embrace his son as he sits on the pitch after the match, with Jack looking excited to celebrate the moment with his dad.

Patrick is married to his wife Ashley Lovett. The couple tied the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony in November 2019.

They welcomed their first child, little Jack, in June 2022.

"Meet Jack Horgan, my new best friend," Patrick said at the time, introducing his son to the world via social media.

Patrick wasn't the only hurler on the pitch celebrating with his son, as his teammate Declan Dalton also embraced his son DJ as they soaked up the victory.

Gushing about Jack back in 2023, Patrick told RSVP Live: "He is at that stage where he won’t stay up in our arms. He will scream until he is put down because he loves running around.

"A match is now the right place for him at the moment.

"There is a new noise coming out of him everyday and if you blink is he trying to run out the front door or go upstairs. He likes to do his own thing and he is a real character. He is very fun to be around."

He also addressed the possibility of retirement from hurling at some stage.

"I am not really sure yet what is going to happen. I am trying to enjoy hurling while I can at the moment," he said at the time.

"What happens after that happens, I have no control over it. I am back with my club at the moment and I am enjoying it."
